On The Farm

At Chico farm we strive to produce high quality produce and farm fresh eggs to be sold locally. Unfortunately, due to water availability issues, we will be unable to provide produce for the 2014 Growing season however we have big plans for 2015. We will continue to sell eggs locally through special order and eventually at the Las Cruces Farmers and Craft Market. If you are in the Las Cruces area and are interested in purchasing eggs please let us know via the contact tab at the top right corner of this page. If we have eggs available (they go fast!) we can make arrangements to get them to you.

About Chico Farm:

Dans Nans Goat Milk Soap

Beginning in 2013 Chico farm is excited to announce that we will be making and selling our own goat milk soap! Our homemade/handmade soap is made from raw goats milk fresh from our very own herd of Nubian Goats. Our soap is available for purchase through this website and currently comes in three varieties but we welcome any suggestions and we will continue to improve and grow our line of soap products. We are dedicated to providing soap products that are high quality as well as simply made. The moisturizing and enriching benefits of goats milk have been known for millennia. It's rumored that Cleopatra owed her legendary beauty in part to luxurious goats milk baths. So if you have sensitive skin or simply wish to experience the benefits of goat milk, go ahead, try our soap, and bathe yourself in luxury!.

Chico farm is proud to be able to offer original jewelry and artwork by the very talented Norma Hartell. Although Normas full size paintings are not available for online purchase, they will be available at local galleries, markets, and by appointment. Norma's Prints, Postcards, and Polymer jewelry are all available for purchase through this website. (will be available soon!)

About Us

Chico Farm is owned and operated by Daniel and Norma Hartell. We began our "Chico" farm in 2010 after purchasing a two acre piece of property in the beautiful Mesilla Valley in Southern NM. After countless hours of work and numerous improvements to the property, including a small rammed earth house that we built ourselves (with the help of friends/family), we have begun to turn our small place into a self sustaining farm. Although there is still much work to be done we look forward to the future and will continue to improve our farm and strive to provide the highest quality produce and products that we can. We greatly appreciate your interest in our farm and would love to hear from you.
